Thanksgiving Eve

Wednesday, November 26, 2008, 7:00pm

On this evening, anticipating many people's favorite holiday, our community gathers for a celebration of music and gratitude. Anyone who would like to publicly declare what they are grateful for has that opportunity. There is a short spoken message, special music, activities for children, a ritual of anticipating what we will be grateful for in a year's time, and fellowship and shared food afterward. Out of town family members are cordially invited.

Winter Solstice

Sunday evening, December 21, 2008, 7:00pm

On the shortest day of the year, the ancient holiday of Winter Solstice - the festival of welcoming the light - is celebrated in this community. This is an evening of ritual, ceremony, music, story telling, and claiming what the light will be in each of our lives in the coming year. We join our ancestors in this ancient honoring of the return of the light. The
gifts of earth and fire are given to each celebrant.
